What Research Says About Reading Pages 70-73 Word Detectives Benchmark School, a school for struggling readers, uses. School to design and evaluate programs for struggling readers between the ages of 6 and 14. After using the Word Detectives program for one year, we sought to learn whether the changes. Reading Detective Beginning has 52 readings with comprehension and critical reading questions. It covers seven skill units: inference/conclusion, vocabulary, story elements, main idea/themes, cause/effect, prediction, and mixed skills.
